Preserving Lake Leelanau
Lake Leelanau’s health is at risk due to invasive species, shoreline erosion, and lack of native plants. Nancy Popa is the Shoreline Ambassador for the Lake Leelanau Lake Association. She tells us about how the organization is working to preserve the lake for future generations.
We met with Seed Ecology and Education Center, a local non-profit that connects people of all ages to nature. Participants get hands-on career experience focused on restoring and conserving Michigan lands.
