  • Preserving Lake Leelanau

    Lake Leelanau’s health is at risk due to invasive species, shoreline erosion, and lack of native plants. Nancy Popa is the Shoreline Ambassador for the Lake Leelanau Lake Association. She tells us about how the organization is working to preserve the lake for future generations.

  • Seeds

    We met with Seed Ecology and Education Center,  a local non-profit that connects people of all ages to nature. Participants get hands-on career experience focused on restoring and conserving Michigan lands.

  • Our Sixth Great Lake

    Right under our feet a sixth Great Lake has been hiding for centuries. FLOW – For the Love of Water – is a water law and policy centre working to secure protection of Michigan Ground Water – our sixth Great Lake. We spoke with Executive Director, Liz Kirkwood to learn more.
